Stork & May is wholly owned by working Partners and we are widely recognised as independent and objective.

The firm was founded in 1995 in response to a growing awareness that senior executives were not well served by conventional career advisory services. Such individuals are increasingly faced with difficult career decisions and need help that is informed rather than formulaic. Our exclusive focus at this level sets us apart when providing the advice that is needed and allows us to constantly refresh and extend our understanding of the business issues faced by our clients.

Stork & May has continually developed its scope, expertise and contacts and is the recognised market leader in its field. We operate from London but advise clients worldwide and work across all business sectors. The number of active clients is always strictly limited and we have now advised some 600 individuals, most of whom hold very significant roles in major listed or private equity businesses or other organisations.

The Partner Group

An effective working relationship is achieved when there is both empathy and respect between the individual client and their Partners involved. Our group of Partners is sufficiently large and diverse to ensure that this critical objective is met. The lead Partner is the main interface when working with us, while a second Partner is available to act as an additional sounding board, and to provide an alternative perspective at various stages and extra cover if required.

The Partners' combined experience spans substantial international chief executive appointments and executive search careers. The wide range of business sectors in which Partners have been involved provides insight and understanding in assessing past achievements and in determining viable new opportunities. Our Partners have themselves worked in leadership positions across various industries in both the UK and overseas. They also have a strong grounding in consultancy and in particular executive search from having worked with some of the world's leading firms.
