AMANDA ALEXANDER

Partner

“My clients get straightforward, honest advice, grounded in reality.  I understand business and the emotional dimensions of leadership and change.”

I joined Stork & May over a decade ago and love the work we do and the difference we make. We’re a unique partnership of very different individuals. I engage deeply and personally with each client but collaborate with my colleagues to harness our collective capability in pursuit of our clients’ happiness, progress and success.

I care very much about making sure my clients enjoy their experience, achieve their potential and get good outcomes. I am very straightforward, knowledgeable, and well connected – and at the same time insightful about people and the challenges that come with being successful. I bring some or all of this to every client.

I have coached, mentored, and advised hundreds of senior people in every sector and leadership role in a vast range of contexts. Every time I think nothing can surprise me something surprises me. I draw on everything I have learned from so many people, alongside my prior experience in manufacturing, real estate, insolvency, restructuring, and transformation, as well as executive search and leadership development. I have a global perspective, advising the World Economic Forum on leadership issues and in global roles, travelling extensively.

A client once said to me, “You helped me see myself as the world saw me, understand why, and what that means I can achieve, and then supported me to make it happen.” That sums it up well – and hearing a client say that is the best feeling in the world.
