Our clients come from across all business sectors and are FTSE or equivalent main board directors, divisional and functional heads as well as senior figures from the City, professional services and the public/not-for-profit sector.
Their annual cash compensation ranges from £250,000 to over £1m exclusive of long term incentives and other benefits. The majority are UK based but we also advise clients in other worldwide centres.
More than 70% of our clients are continuing in a permanent full-time role with some 30% developing a portfolio of interests. Approximately 30% are considering opportunities in private equity and/or turnarounds. Interim assignments are looked at by 10% and a small number pursue government or other not-for-profit appointments.
We have now worked with some 600 clients many of whom hold or have held prominent positions in the world of business and commerce including virtually every company within the FTSE 100.
In the majority of cases, our fees are paid by an individual's current or most recent employer although in a consulting sense, our primary relationship is always with the individual. There are instances, typically for executives making a career move, when the individual personally pays the fees.
