Acas (Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service)
A useful site containing information about Acas as well as many of their advisory leaflets online.

Advertising Standards Authority
Contains information on the advertising codes and recent adjudications.

Business Link
Contains material and tools that have been produced to raise awareness of management best practice in organisations both in the UK and overseas.

The Charity Commission
An extremely detailed site with general information on charities and the obligations of trustees and a searchable database of charity. However, there is so much information it can be a little difficult to find what you are looking for.

Commission for Racial Equality
Includes information about the work of the CRE and relevant legal documents.

Competition Commission
Formerly known as the Monopolies and Mergers Commission, this site contains information about how the Commission works and current inquiries and appeals.

Equal Opportunities Commission
A very comprehensive site with many useful links.

Financial Services Authority
This site contains very extensive, wide-ranging information and indeed so much that it can be rather difficult to find what you are looking for.

Health & Safety Executive
Includes information on HSE, its research publications and the HSE Public Register of Prosecutions.

International Labour Organization (ILO)
Database on international work standards and national laws on labour, social security and human rights.

Investors in People
The site contains a small but focused on-line library.

Learning and Skills Council (LSC)
The Learning and Skills Council have taken over much of the work of the former Training and Enterprise Councils (TECs).

Low Pay Commission (LPC)
Contains the latest information about the levels of the national minimum wage.

Ofcom
Information for customers and businesses across television, radio, telecommunications and wireless communications services. (Oftel - no longer exists. Its work is now carried out by Ofcom).

Ofgem
The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets provides information about Ofgem and its work and also money saving tips for consumers.

Ofwat
Regulatory information on the water and sewerage industries in the UK.

Office of Fair Trading
This useful site provides guidance for both businesses and consumers.

Office of the Rail Regulator
Since April 2006 the ORR is now also responsible for Health & Safety issues on the railways as well as being the standards and performance regulator.

The Takeover Panel
The Panel supervises and regulates takeovers, issue and administer the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Website also contains The Takeover Code and Disclosure Tables.
